Synopsis

EDTEXT/ object, string_array, text_type[,IFERR,label:]

Description

EDTEXT allows you to modify a specified drafting text type with a new text string. Use this option whenever you need to modify dimension or drafting aid text. EDTEXT provides you with an efficient and dynamic way to modify the specified text without having to delete and recreate text.

Parameters

object

The dimension or drafting aid.

string

The new text string to use.

text_type

One of the following valid text types:

1 = Dimension/Main Text
2 = Dual Dimension Text
3 = Tolerance Text
4 = Dual Tolerance Text
5 = Diameter/Radius Symbol Text
6 = Appended Text 1
7 = Appended Text 2

Parameter	Description

string	The new text string to use.
text_type	One of the following valid text types: 1 = Dimension/Main Text 2 = Dual Dimension Text 3 = Tolerance Text 4 = Dual Tolerance Text 5 = Diameter/Radius Symbol Text 6 = Appended Text 1 7 = Appended Text 2
